Diamer Basha Dam Hydropower Project
The Basha dam is located across river Indus downstream of Chilas Town. Besides hydropower generation, the water
stored will be used for regulating irrigation supplies to the Indus Basin Irrigation System. NESPAK led JV comprising two foreign and eight
local firms including DMC, provided consultancy services for “Review & Up-gradation of Preliminary Feasibility Study” of the project during
June 2002 to June 2004. DMC provided inputs in the areas of environmental, social and resettlement impacts assessment, suggested
mitigation measures & estimated the costs.
