Preparatory Survey For Mangla Hydropower Station Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project

Mangla Rehabilitation and Enhancement Project is aimed at rehabilitation and upgradation of turbines, generators and auxiliaries necessitated due to Mangla Dam Raising Project and increased reservoir capacity for additional power generation and to make the project sustainable for another 40–50 years. The study funded by JICA was undertaken to (i). review the Feasibility Study Report prepared by WAPDA (ii). undertake related preparatory survey required for implementation of the Project, and (iii). to assess the viability of theProject and its suitability for funding by JICA.


DMC assisted Nippon Koei in carrying out the study / survey. The tasks carried out by DMC interalia included facilitating NK Consultants in collection, tabulation & analysis of all type of technical & non- technical data required for the study, assist in review of the Feasibility Report and preparation of report, coordination with concerned WAPDA offices, participation in technical discussion, verification of data, management & local logistic supp.
